Chapter 18 - The Golden Demon Ape

Half an hour later, Ivy hand bonded with the seed and transformed into a small seed and was implanted into Cyrus’ prostate. Ivy needed time to fully merge with the new plant.

He placed her there because he wanted the plant to be a part of himself.

Cyrus decided to return to the battle with the demon apes to claim the monster cores of the 6 demon apes he killed.

As he reached the battle scene, he found the area devastated by the golden demon ape. The trees surrounding the place were decimated and the golden demon ape left a trail of destruction as it left the area.

He quickly removed the cores from the 6 demon apes he killed and had a close look at the giant oak tree ent that was killed by the demon apes.

He extracted the heart of the ent which was an apply sized acorn and kept it.

Suddenly, he heard a loud roar coming several miles away. He quickly jumped onto his eagle and headed towards the direction of the roar, which coincidentally was the direction of the destructive path the golden demon ape left.

Not long after, from afar, he could see the golden demon ape battling someone and raging in a fury.

He watched as a insanely fast blur was avoiding all the projectiles thrown by the golden demon ape. Although the golden demon ape could not hurt the fast moving being, the being was being pinned back and kept on the defensive by the incredible destructive ability of the golden demon ape.

In a split second, the being attacked viciously as it stopped for split seconds to shoot arrow after arrow at the monster.

Cyrus could see that the being was and extremely attractive female elf. She had golden hair tied behind her, and was slim and elegant wearing leather clothing that showed off her curves. She was stunningly beautiful, and she moved with graceful efficiency.

It was as if every move she made was absolutely perfectly planned, every step, every dodge, every movement seemed as if it was choreographed to make her look good.

She was clearly a level 2 fighter, with every move completely efficient, with no wasted movement.

However, all her arrows landed on vital spots but could not penetrate the fur of the golden demon ape. Even the arrows aimed at the eyes were blocked by the creature’s huge arms.

Suddenly the Golden Demon Ape clapped its hands together. The resulting shockwave caused 50 meters around the monster to be hit by damaging concussion waves. Trees in the affected area were all blown away.

The elf was effected and was sent flying into the trees, landing in a loud crash. The Golden demon ape immediately pounced towards the elf who lay badly injured.

Her pretty face looked dazed as her body was bleeding everywhere from the impact of smashing through so many trees. Blood was flowing out of her mouth and she had multiple cuts everywhere with flesh showing through her clothes.

Cyrus took action just as the monster was less than 10 meters from the elf as he used his right hand rune to pull the demon ape away while simultaneously the rune on his left hand shot out his 11 seals.

The seals shot at the demon ape fiercely, but none of them were able to penetrate its fur and instead flew around the demon ape and attacked in random patterns. Although they could not penetrate the golden fur of the demon ape, it was clear that they were causing it pain.

Cyrus rushed to the elf but she suddenly pointed behind him “Watch out” she whispered with her eyes showing fear.

Cyrus turned around to see the demon ape charging towards him. He extended his right hand and tried to repel the monster. However, to this surprise, the golden monster ape was slowed down to a halt, but suddenly started forcing its way forwards through pure physical strength.

“Such strength! This is the physical power of a level 3 demon beast?” thought Cyrus to himself as he exerted every iota of mental strength to will his rune to repel the monster.

The demon ape clapped its hands again, causing another huge concussion wave. However, the wave was distorted and repelled by the rune on Cyrus’ right hand.

That was not to say he wasn’t injured. Blood flowed from both his nostrils as the concussion wave was deflected, protecting the female elf who was blocked by his body.

His seals continued to attack the demon ape from every angle, but the monster ignored them only protecting it’s eyes. One of the newer demon ape seals tried to attack it through its mouth, but the golden demon ape chomped down destroying the seal.

Cyrus grunted in pain at the destruction of that seal, nearly causing him to faint, and he fell to one knee.

Besides his original seal, all the rest of Cyrus’ seals were created from the corpses of level 1 mages or demon beasts. As such, the level 3 Golden Demon Ape could destroy each seal as easily as it would be able to kill a level 1 mage or demon beast.

The demon ape continued walking forwards and was less than 10 meters away from Cyrus now as Cyrus held his ground, even though he was now on one knee.

The demon ape clapped again, causing yet another concussion blast, causing Cyrus to cough blood.

A split second after the concussion attack, from behind him, two arrows suddenly were shot and each one ended up right into the golden demon ape’s eyes.

The demon ape screamed in pain as Cyrus took the opportunity and all his seals dove into the screaming monster’s mouth.

The golden demon ape chomped down and destroyed yet another demon ape black seal, but the other 9 seals charged down the monster’s throat and started destroying the monster from the inside.

Cyrus collapsed to both knees as the destruction of the second seal caused even his eyes to bleed.

The golden demon ape screamed its final scream as it tried to pounce on Cyrus. It stumbled and landed less than 2 meters away from Cyrus, its huge arms managed to hit Cyrus, causing him to fly through the air and crash several meters away into a tree.

Cyrus tried to get up, but found he could not move. He looked down and saw a large branch impaled through his body, sticking out of his stomach. Blood was flowing out of his body profusely.

"Damn. I really miss my immortal body" thought Cyrus to himself as he remembered being Loki.

Cyrus lost consciousness just as the monster died with all its internal organs ripped apart.

Chapter 17 - Ivy the Dryad

Cyrus left the town of Dunfolk and headed to the port city of Grand Mariner. Being a large trading port, it would be logical place that would have a teleportation portal.

Based on the map of Alamander that Miranda gave him, the Martial Realm Academy was a large city in its own right. It wasn’t a small secluded school like the Abominable Abyss, rather a large city campus.

He was unsure if the teleportation portals will connect directly to the Martial Realm Academy, or will he have to go to the nearest city which was Aragoth, the capital of Alamander.

As he traveled, the roads began to get congested with other travelers. It appeared that there was a checkpoint which was manned by mages and warriors.

At a glance, Cyrus could see that this group was quite powerful. There were 20 warriors and 4 mages in total. Each mage was at least a level 1 mage and among the warriors, they were at least level 7 squires.

As Cyrus arrived at the checkpoint, the mages looked at Cyrus.

“You! Remove your cloak and state your name and purpose” commanded a mage

Cyrus removed his cloak, revealing his dark elf face and silky white hair

Instantly the warriors surrounded Cyrus and his horse, with their weapons unsheathed and ready to attack him.

“My name is Grim. I am headed to Grand Mariner for leasure” Cyrus answered

“And what makes you think you would be welcome in Grand Mariner?” asked the mage as he brandished his staff.

“I don't see how this is any of your business” said Cyrus, his hands loosening his grips on the reins and dropping his left hand low. .

“Do you want to die?” asked the mage as his staff conjured a fireball that floated in the air above the fire mage. The other magicians started conjuring as well.

It was obvious they didn't like him. Dark elves had a bad reputation for being an evil race, and many would kill a dark elf on sight. Of course Cyrus knew this, but being a dark elf in disguise was better than showing his true self.

Cyrus smiled and released his killing intent. Suddenly all the 4 mages' spells faltered as they lost concentration and foamed at their mouths as they passed out.

Cyrus released his seal from this left hand that pierced all 4 mages' chests, straight into their hearts. Then as the red seal flew back to him, 4 other seals flew out of the mages' chests.

As the 4 were official level 1 mages and were more powerful than him, each death created a new seal.

One could see that the seals were in different colors. The original seal was bright red, while one of them was flaming red, another one was ice blue, while the other two were cyan.

"A fire mage, an ice mage and two wind mages" muttered Cyrus to himself as he held his left hand up and the five seals circled around his hands menacingly.

The other people on the road were terrified and started fleeing, leaving Cyrus standing there by himself, surrounded by the warriors.

They conjured up their courage and charged forth to kill him.

Cyrus gave a mental order and all 5 seals rushed to separate targets and each seal flew through the bodies of one warrior after another. No matter how they defended, the red seal sliced through shields and armor like wet tissue paper.

While the original red seal ate through each victim's body, the red fire seal burned directly through, leaving a burnt hole. The ice seal left a hole in the victim's body surrounded by ice. The two wind seals merely left a clean hole through its victims.

However, when they all returned to Cyrus' left hand, they sated his hunger and made his level rise ever so slightly.

He didn't bother with using his killer intent as these squire level warriors were all beneath his attention, letting his seals slaughter them.

As the warriors were not level 1 warrior level but were rather mere squire levels, there were no new seals formed.

Cyrus immediately swiped all their belongings into his spatial ring and the red seals all disappeared back into his left hand.

There were 24 mercenaries that were killed, including 4 level 1 mages and 20 squire level warriors. Their energies flowed into his body from the red seals and as he sat under a nearby tree, he refined the energies into his body.

Within minutes he discovered that his level had increased to a level 5 acolyte level.

“That’s all? I killed 4 level 1 mages and 20 squires and this is all? It would appear leveling up will take longer than I thought” said Cyrus as he looked for his horse to continue his journey.

He discovered that his horse had ran away, but the mercenaries had a large eagle nearby with a saddle on top. Happily, he created a rune and placed in on the eagle to control it and then boarded it and took off.

He also removed Dani's skin and clothes, deciding to wear the set of clothes he bought in Dunfolk. Disguising as Grim got him in as much trouble anyway.

He flew up high into the sky and headed for Grand Mariner. Flying would save him several days of traveling and he wondered if he could bring his eagle with him through the teleportation portal.

As he was flying, and since he was being hunted, he flew in a straight line toward Grand Mariner, rather than following the winding roads.

After a few hours, he was flying over dense forests when he heard a loud commotion that sounded like a epic battle between colossal forces.

His flight path seemed to be taking him directly to the battle as the sounds got louder and louder.

In the distance, he watched as a giant oak tree appeared to be battling a group of monstrous apes that were over 20 foot tall.

“Demon Apes” thought Cyrus. They were level 1 demonic creatures, the equivalent to a level 1 mage or level 1 knight.

There were 7 of them, and their leader looked like a level 3 golden demon ape with horns. They were battling a large oak tree who was carrying and protecting a pretty dryad on its branches.

Cyrus realized that the demon apes were after the dryad. By eating her, they would grow several levels more powerful. A dryad was rare and considered a treasure, even by humans.

As Cyrus arrived closer, the demon apes were busy destroying the oak tree, which was already dying in agony. Its branches were being ripped off and bitten off and as the oak tree was fading, the nymph was also dying as their lives were linked.

The eagle landed nearby and Cyrus jumped off heroically. His left hand released his seals that flew into the fray.

Within moments, 6 of the demon apes were killed as the seals flew through them. However, the seals could not penetrate the tough hide of the level 3 golden demon ape!

Cyrus lifted his right hand and used the rune's power of attraction to pull the dryad to him as the runes buzzed around the golden demon ape, infuriating and distracting it.

By now, there were 6 new seals formed from the other level 1 demon apes. Each of them were dark lack in color similar to the fur on the demon apes.

Cyrus regretted running away and not picking up the monster cores from the 6 killed demon apes. But the dryad was fading fast.

Cyrus looked at the pretty dryad and opened her legs, immediately pushing open her vaginal lips wide, exposing her cervix and imprinting a rune on it with his penis, enslaving her.

He felt his body changing again. Level 6 acolyte!

"Magical creatures. Fucking a dryad and killing 6 demon apes only got a 1 level upgrade" he thought to himself.

She gasped as the felt the loss of her freedom and could not resist as the last remnant of her life force was fading.

Cyrus retrieved the seed of the monster vines he created and drew a rune between her breasts to implant the seed into her heart.

Then he cast a spell on her body, merging her life force with the life force in the seed. Instantly, her eyes opened and she looked at him.

She stood up and vines came out of her ass and entwined with his body.

“My name is Ivy, who are you master?” asked the Dryad

“I am Cyrus, and you are mine now” said Cyrus as he pulled off his mask that was made out of Dani’s skin and they embraced and made love on the back of the eagle.

This was the first time Cyrus has had sex with a magical creature like her. Dryads are by their magical nature very sexually attractive, and spawned countless legends of their beauty. However, they were powerful in the forest, and normal humans would not be able to go near one, let alone make love to one.

Both their bodies entwined as Cyrus took pleasure in every pump into Ivy's body. On the other hand, Ivy was lost in her lust, being made love to by this strange, powerful yet seemingly low level acolyte.

Chapter 16 - From Dani to Grim

He stripped naked and took a leisurely bath in the middle of his room. As he finished his bath, he stood up with a towel and called out “You can come out now. I’m still unarmed”

A dark figure emerged from the shadows. “You knew I was there?”

“Of course I knew you were waiting for me in my room. Would you like to join me?” Cyrus asked as he pumped his fully erect cock.

The assassin was a female dark elf. She had extremely dark skin, and although hidden under her black cloak, one could see she was quite beautiful.

She was holding duel daggers that glow a blood red color, one on each hand. This signified that the daggers had a vampiric ability to absorb life-force as it cut its victims.

“No, but I think I will keep that as a souvenir” she said lewdly as she pointed her dagger at his large cock.

“At least tell me your name. We can have some fun before you kill me” smiled Cyrus.

By now the assassin was unnerved by how calm Cyrus was. Wasn’t he merely a level 3 acolyte? Why was he not scared of her?

“My name is Dani. Are you not scared of death?” she asked.

“No. Since I know many assassins were sent to kill me, I might as well enjoy myself until I get killed” Cyrus smiled as he got up, dried himself and lay on his bed.

He even closed his eyes as he played with his cock and showed off his full erection

“Come on. Sit on it. We don’t have very long. There are more mages downstairs” he said as he closed his eyes and opened his hand out wide.

She didn’t hesitate any longer and walked towards him with both knives aimed at his vital points.

Suddenly, she stumbled and could not help but drop her weapons and fall to her knees and fell face first to the floor. Cyrus had used the rune on his left hand to absorb all her strength and stamina.

Cyrus quickly brought her to the bed and removed her pants and underwear and guided her to his erect cock to her pussy and impaled her..

He started pumping his cock in and out of her as he ripped through her virgin hymen. He started stripping her, exposing her sleek naked body.

She had dark black skin, which glowed an azure color in the moonlight. She had beautiful soft breasts which he started playing with his hands. Her eyes were wide open and tears were flowing down from it.

She was fully conscious, but somehow had lost every shred of strength she had. She couldn't resist and had to strain with all her might not to fall unconscious.

As he came in her, he started reading her mind. She was Dani Moonshadow, a lone survivor of a destroyed dark elf tribe many centuries ago during a great war in her land. She survived and fled, eventually becoming an assassin due to her dark elf superior speed, agility and dexterity.

Although she was centuries old, she still looked like she was merely 20 years old, young and beautiful. However, she was a renowned level 2 warrior assassin who had never failed. Her nickname was “The Shadow” and no one saw her as she killed them.

Cyrus was the first failure. Since she was there to kill him, he had no reservation to kill her. As he came inside her again, he absorbed her essence completely, leaving only bones and skin using his incubus abilities he absorbed from Miranda.

Suddenly, he felt it. Finally he had broken through to become a level 4 acolyte.

"It took absorbing a level 2 assassin to level up? Looks every level will get harder and harder" he thought to himself.

He captured her spirit and placed it in his spirit gem and kept it in his spatial ring.

Then he removed all the bones from inside her skin and kept them away and started wearing her skin.

Dani was a 5’8” dark elf female while Cyrus was only a 5’7” lean 15 year old teenage boy.

Thus he could still fit inside her skin, though barely. He looked at himself in the mirror as he pulled her face over his. It fit tightly, although not perfectly. However, under a cloak, he would be able to get away with it.

He looked at the empty breast skin and turned it inwards, becoming a set of pockets. He could see the outline of his still erect cock under the groin area of her skin, so he pulled his cock and poked it out of the vagina slit, for easy access.

He then dressed in her clothes and kept his own clothes in his spatial ring. Dani’s clothes consisted of a black silk shirt, black leather pants and a large Midnight Cloak. The Midnight Cloak was a special cloak worn by dark elves, making them merge into the night becoming nearly invisible

As he wore her clothes over her skin, he looked like a male dark elf, his body fitting perfectly under her skin. Her vampiric daggers gave him more inspiration. The daggers absorb lifeforce when stabbing a victim. This would be considered devouring magic too.

Just then, the door burst open as several magicians and mercenaries burst in.

Cyrus disappeared into the shadows to watch.

“There’s nobody here. Are you sure this is the right room?” asked one of the mages.

“Who goes there?” yelled one of the mages with extra senses. The whole group drew their weapons and faced the shadow that Cyrus was hidden in.

“My name is Grim” Cyrus said in a gruff voice as he appeared from the shadows with his hands unarmed.

“What are you doing here dark elf?” asked one of the mercenaries.

“Same thing you are. Looking for a bounty” Cyrus said, flipping his dagger out, then back into their sheathes again.

“So there is nobody here?” he asked again.

“As you can see, the bath is freshly drawn, but nobody is here. I followed him up the stairs but he disappeared the moment I got in.

The mercenaries nodded. They also found out that a young man was living in this room from the innkeeper.

“So Grim, would you like to follow us in the hunt? My name is Algram and this is my party the Demon Claws” the mercenary asked.

“I work alone. Besides, there is so many of you. Even if you manage to kill him, there wouldn’t be much left for me” he said.

“That’s true. Then go in peace dark elf” said Algram

Cyrus nodded and exited the window.

“Do you trust him?” asked one of the other mercenaries

“If he had killed the boy, there would be some evidence of a fight. It would appear that he vanished without a trace” said Algram.

With his new identity, Cyrus smiled to himself and walked to purchase a horse.

Chapter 15 - On The Run

Within the week, the Darstrong family had put out a bounty for Cyrus’ head and sent their own assassins after him.

Cyrus had already expected this after finding out who Dalmier was. However, he didn’t know how cruel the Darstrong family would be.

The Darstrong family had also sent mages to the Van Dume family to kill everyone from Cyrus’ family. They also commanded their mages to spread a plague that will kill everyone in the Barony of Van Dume, leaving it a barren wasteland.

However, Cyrus didn’t know all of this, otherwise he would have stayed and fought them directly. Instead, not knowing any better, he decided to flee since it was easier to not fight and risk his life for nothing.

He was after all, still officially a level 3 acolyte without his other powers.

He had tracked south towards warmer weather and was hiding in a cave deep in the forest roughly 200 km from the Abominable Abyss Academy.

He was assembling Theresa’s body the best he could. The runes on the floor started healing her body.

He realized that there was something in her vagina and as he pulled it out, he discovered it was Dalmier’s cock. He looked at it and pulled out the flesh of Dalmier's penis and threw it aside.

Using the penis skin and testicle sack, he made a purse and kept some coins in them. He didn’t want to use his spatial ring in public too much as spatial rings were rare and attracted too much attention.

Several hours later, Theresa’s body was completely healed and whole, however her spirit was gone.

At his mental command, she sat up and opened her eyes. But she was nothing more than a puppet.

He cleaned her up, as her mouth and pussy was still filled with Dalmier’s dried up cum.

Finally, he sat down and got her to sit on him and fuck him. As he hugged her naked body tightly, he finally cried and released all the tension from the last few days.

He then took out a emerald and started drawing runes all around the air and then attached the runes to the jewel. This was a spirit jewel that would be used to store spirits in the future.

He had been too late and didn’t manage to rescue Theresa’s spirit in time when Dalmier killed her. However, with a spirit jewel, he would be able to keep spirits in the future.

He got dressed. The only clothes he had was the acolyte robe that he was wearing that day. He didn’t even have any clothes for Theresa.

He looked at the note Miranda gave him. It was an introduction letter to Martial Realm Academy, the elite magical academy in the neighboring nation of Alamandar.

In Martial Realm, they didn’t form separate academies of magic, nor did they separate magic and knight school, rather they had a gigantic academy for all magical and knight arts.

This actually interested Cyrus as he found the study of only the dark arts in Abominable Abyss was too restrictive. The magics he encountered and faced not only from the acolytes but also from the teachers were too limited and predictable, even though they prided themselves as the school of unrestrained thought.

The inspiration he received from the Wall of Insight indicated that he needed to merge all magics, and thus perhaps this was the reason he was sent by Merlin to the Abominable Abyss.

Furthermore, with acolytes and squires mixing together, this would produce better rounded students that were comfortable with both physical fighting as well as magic.

The journey was over 1,000,000 km away and would take the better part of the year. However, if he could use a flying beast or even a teleportation portal from one of the major cities, it would be faster.

On the way, he intended to implement a few ideas inspired by the Wall of Insight regarding the Devouring magics. He wanted to find more and more ways to devour, using agents, objects and runes, all in ways to benefit his cultivation and overall strength.

Not knowing that the assassins had already overtaken him when he was hidden underground, he carefully reemerged from underground and walked to the nearby town of Dunfolk.

He bought himself a set of clothes and a cloak to hide himself. Unfortunately, the small town didn't have much in terms of clothes.

Not being in any hurry, he decided to have a nice meal in the nearby inn and stay the night.

During dinner, he overheard a conversation from the nearby table.

“Are you sure? Is that why there are so many mages in the town and nearby areas?” one man asked

“Yes. They are hunting for an acolyte from the Abominable Abyss school” the man answered.

“All of this resources used for only an acolyte? I wonder what he did?” he asked again

“I heard that the heir to the Darstrong Mage family was killed by this acolyte. There is a huge reward for the head of the acolyte by the very same Darstrong mage family, so their official mages as well as rogue mages are out hunting for him” he answered.

The first man nodded. “You mentioned the Abominable Abyss. What is that?” the first man asked again.

“Not many know, but there is a dark magic school somewhere in the haunted forest to the north.” he said.

“Interesting” thought Cyrus as he finished his meal and calmly walked up to his room.

He had already noticed that several of the people eating in the inn were mages. Now he realized that they were here to kill him.

He didn’t fear any mage. Although he was still only a level 3 acolyte, he was more than a match of the typical level 1 mages in the Abominable Abyss due to his skill and knowledge and his rune magics.

So far, his spell casting and other magics that he retained from his life as Loki made him superior in many ways, but he was limited by his own manna reserves.

Thus, engaging an unknown number of mages at the same time wasn’t advantageous to him, even though he was confident he would win.

Chapter 14 - Leaving the Abominable Abyss

Cyrus approached the wall and realized there were seats in front of the wall.

He took a seat and really examined the wall. Indeed it seemed like it was probably done by a person out of his mind.

There were colors randomly painted all over the walls, yet he could sense there was something profound about it.

As he studied the wall closely, he suddenly realized that the wall was painted not with paint but with bodily fluids or body matter. Every color came from that person’s body and was directly drawn or painted on the wall.

With his second rune ability extracting knowledge from the wall, he found his mind filled with illogical yet profound truths.

As the repository of Mimir and his considerable godly knowledge as Loki, and the knowledge of the 3 pantheons, he was already able to process pure knowledge and arcane truths.

As a God who mastered so much magical knowledge, he underrstood that the path of dark magic and light magic were not separate and contradictory paths.

This was the reason the Asgardians called him the God of Evil, as he didn't differentiate between them.

In fact none of the magics that supposedly clashed were distinct, rather they could be united in a more powerful form.

Life, death, oblivion these were all concepts that bound the mind. Once free, one would be able to transcend everything.

With the knowledge represented on the wall, he realized the difference between magic that he knew and the magics here.

By the second day, he had drawn a enormous rune in the air, based on his understanding and comparing it with the knowledge on the wall. The large rune suddenly shrank and was engraved on his chest.

This rune was his anti-magic rune that negates all magic and powers in this realm, except his own using his runes.

Just as he finished, two elders walked in to escort him out.

His two days had passed.

He thanked the guardians and headed back to his factory. As he arrived, he found the factory running like a well oiled machine as the slaves worked tirelessly. However, Theresa wasn’t there.

He walked casually over to her dorm room and knocked. However, as he entered, he found she wasn’t there either.

He frowned and looked for her in the cafeteria and asked around if anyone saw her. No one did. He asked Miranda and Professor Durnham, but both didn’t have any answers.

Finally he asked Professor Durnham where was Dalmier’s dorm room. He found that he had his own area too in the other side of the academy.

Cyrus turned around and started running towards the direction of Dalmier’s room.

As he arrived, he found that the door was locked. He knocked but there was no answer.

Without hesitation he smashed the door down with a kick and walked in. What he saw caused his heart to drop.

Dalmier was standing up and fucking a decapitated body that looked like Theresa’s body. The breasts were a match for hers as were the arms and legs that were perfectly like hers.

There were internal organs all over the floor and as he was fucking her, he was throwing ingredients into her hollowed out cavity at the neck.

Finally he saw her head on the floor. Her eyes were open and her mouth was dripping with cum.

Cum was flowing out of her neck as well, mixed with blood.

“You…… scum!!” yelled Cyrus as he approached Dalmier.

“You see! My cauldron is superior than yours! See? See?” Dalmier madly said as he pulled out 5 pills from her body.

Cyrus waved his left hand and a red seal rushed out and cut off Dalmier’s cock that was still balls deep inside Theresa’s pussy.

He screamed as he stumbled backwards, Theresa’s body fell lifeless to the floor.

Cyrus looked at Dalmier who was screaming in pain touching his groin where his penis used to be.

“NO!” yelled Professor Durnham who appeared just as Cyrus cut of Dalmier’s head with the red seal. His head flew off and just as it was about to drop to the floor, Cyrus kicked it to the far side of the room as the rest of Dalmier’s body slumped next to Theresa’s body.

“What have you done? Do you know who he was? Dalmier was the heir to the Darstrong Wizard family. They are one of the main supporters of the school!” yelled Durnham.

“What about Theresa then?” yelled Cyrus back at him

“The school had originally already prepared for Theresa to be sacrificed. She was already a cauldron and is owned by the school. We had already compensated her parents!” yelled Durnham.

By now Miranda and several other teachers had arrived as well.

Cyrus ignored them and collected Theresa’s body, her head and all the organs and flesh that was from her body and kept them in a spatial ring that he was wearing. He claimed Theresa's spatial ring as well that Dalmier was now wearing.

“Hey! I said that the human cauldron was the property of the school!” yelled Durnham again.

“You want a human cauldron? Here’s your cauldron!” answered Cyrus.

He activated his red seal from his left hand which bore into Dalmier’s body and drilled a cavity through the neck, mashing his internal organs to smithereens. Then the red seal exited and cut a large hole through the groin where his penis used to be, creating a bloody vagina.

“You! You will die for this” said one of the teachers who attacked Cyrus with a death curse.

Cyrus lifted his right hand and deflected the curse easily. He lifted his left hand and absorbed his lifeforce, causing that teacher to pass out.

Several other teachers floated into the air and they surrounded him in a semi-circle. They attacked with all their might as official mages with intent to kill. Powerful energies as well as spells were fired at Cyrus, Miranda stood at the side not being able to save him.

A rune flew out of his chest and expanded to form an transparent rune in the air in front of him. Instantly, all the teacher's spells dissipated. They found that hey could not even cast any new spells, making them mortal.

Cyrus released his incredible killing aura that washed over all the teachers, causing them all to shit their pants and pass out with foam from their mouths from pure fear.

He walked pass them calmly and smiled to Miranda who stood next to the door stunned. How did such a young boy have such a killing aura? To have such an aura you would literally have to have killed gods and multiple worlds.

She knew that Cyrus spared her, but even then, just being there, she could feel the fear from all the other teachers who were high level 1 mages, some were even level 2.

“I have to leave” Cyrus said as he smiled at Miranda.

“I want to come too” she said in her mind

“No, you are my eyes and ears here. When things have calmed down, I will come back for you” he said.

"Then take this" she said as she handed him a note and a map.

He nodded and left her standing by the door.

She took the teachers to the infirmary, knowing that their souls were badly wounded by his killing intent. Although they were fine physically, their spirits had been attacked by such fear that it would take months for them to recover, if at all they could recover their bravery.

The other teachers still looked all over for him, but he was gone. His factory suddenly stopped working as the living cauldrons suddenly stopped functioning.

When the school tried to use the same slaves as living cauldrons, all they retrieved were piss even though the living cauldrons were fed the proper raw materials.

Miranda reclaimed back all her slaves since they were no longer useful as living cauldrons.

As for Dalmier’s body, surprisingly his body could be used to create pills as a human cauldron. However, they had to return his body to the Darstrong family.

Chapter 13 - Acolyte Championship

By now, the teachers in the academy had realized that Cyrus was a genius in many fields. He was a genius in the devouring magic, but on top of that, he seemed to be very gifted in potion and pill making, runes and inscriptions, botany, magic theory and they guessed that he had many other hidden talents.

As such, since he was already a level 3 acolyte, he was invited to join the annual battle of the acolytes.

Normally, acolytes of the first few years would not participate, since most of them would not be powerful enough.

So most of the acolytes participating tended to be acolytes who have been there for more than 5 years, hence being a level 5 acolyte was a minimum. Although Cyrus had not reached the benchmark, he was invited too, due to the fact that he was such a genius.

Due to the subsequent missions he finished easily, everyone knew that he was not a mere level 3 acolyte, as most of those missions would be difficult for level 7 acolytes, let alone a mere level 3.

Theresa was not trained in battle and although she had quite a few spells in her arsenal, declined her invitation.

Dalmier was the runner up last year, and had placed top 10 several years before. The previous year’s champion and most of the strong acolytes had become official mages already, leaving him the favorite to win it. So of course he participated as well.

Surprisingly, Damien the first year as well as the sisters Annabelle and Aribeth had leveled up to level 5 as well, much to the amazement of most of the teachers.

As the school wasn’t very large, and most of the acolytes were not adept in combat, only 30 students ended up participating.

The draw was made and Cyrus was pitted to face a 7th year level 6 acolyte who called himself Skullgore.

Skullgore looked like some sort of cyborg, Half his face was covered with metal parts, and his right arm and left leg were replaced with metal replacements.

He stood there and started summoning lightning from the surrounding. His whole body crackled with electricity as he started charging.

As he punched Cyrus with his metal hand, Cyrus lifted his left hand calmly and touched his hand.

The punch landed on Cyrus’ hand when a strange thing  occurred. He absorbed the electricity as well as the kinetic energy from the punch as well as from his charging body.

Skullgore stood in amazement as his whole body stood still and was unable to move. Then he blacked out not knowing what happened.

Cyrus had absorbed his energy and even his manna, leaving him unconscious and defeated. The audience had no idea what to make of it, but Theresa was happily shouting and cheering.

In the other matches, Damien demonstrated his demonic abilities and summoned a large demon that easily beat his opponent.

Annabelle easily overpowered her opponent with her mental powers, causing her opponent to pass out while stills standing on the opposite side of the stage.

Aribeth used her illusion powers and her opponent screamed and ran off the stage.

Dalmier showed off his abilities. He opened a potion beaker and a purple cloud came out of his beaker. As it expanded, the clouds appeared to form skulls and it swirled around and around before charging at his opponent.

His opponent tried to cast a few spells, but to no avail. The smoke passed through his body and left the opponent frozen in place and he collapsed to the floor, his whole body shivered and collapsed in fear. Dalmier walked off the stage with a proud look on his face.

The other matches were pretty standard. There were acolytes who summoned zombies and skeletons. Others cast hexes and curses. However as they were all only acolytes, their battles were not as exciting as they were still inexperienced and only had minor abilities.

The next round was more of the same and Cyrus, Damien, Annabelle and Aribeth made it through the next round again in the last 15. As they had an odd man out, Dalmier, being the favorite, was given a bye.

In the last 8, Dalmier was drawn to meet Cyrus. Dalmier sneered as he finally had a chance to take his revenge.

As they met on stage, Dalmier again used his potion and released the purple cloud skulls who rushed directly at Cyrus.

Cyrus didn’t bother doing anything and the back of his robe tore open as a black hole the size of a shield flew out and floated in front of Cyrus, absorbing the purple cloud.

Dalmier was shocked and started taking out another potion. Without giving him a chance, Cyrus lifted his left hand and pointed at Dalmier, who fell down weakly.

“What happened?” he asked as he lay weakly on the floor. Cyrus had absorbed his energy from afar. Dalmier was so weak he had to be taken off the stage by the judges.

Cyrus left the stage slowly and Theresa’s voice could be heard cheering above the stunned crowd.

In the semi-finals, there were 4 contestants left, and they were surprisingly composed of Cyrus, Damien, Annabelle and Aribeth, all 4 were first years.

Cyrus was matched up with Aribeth. The match was surprisingly fast and uneventful. Aribeth cast an illusion on Cyrus, but Cyrus seemed completely unaffected. He walked up right next to her and she surrendered before he attacked.

In the next semi-final match, Annebelle surprisingly defeated Damien. Her mental abilities completely crushed Damien who didn’t even get to show off his demonic summons.

Thus the finals would be between Cyrus and Annabelle. They appeared on stage and stood at opposite sides of the stage.

Instantly, Annabelle attacked Cyrus with her mental ability. However, like with Aribeth, it had no effect on Cyrus.

Cyrus calmly walked towards Annabelle and just as he approached her, she surrendered.

The crowd was again stunned. What kind of stupid match was that? Nearly all of Cyrus’ matches were boring and looked like nothing happened.

The teachers themselves felt like booing, only Theresa’s voice could be heard cheering the champion.

The victors were brought to the stage. All of them would be given an opportunity to view the secret Wall of the Insight to gain inspiration.

The Wall was supposedly created by the founder of the Abominable Abyss. His name was simply called Nameless One. He was a cultivator from the days of creation and supposedly the wall contained the forbidden arts that made him crazy before his death.

He could not put everything down as the knowledge was supposedly too evil, too profound, too damning it turned him mad. However, he managed to carve his impressions and emotions of the knowledge on the wall.

The losing semi-finalists would get half a day viewing the wall. The losing finalist would get a full day while the winner would get two full days viewing the Wall of Insight.

Why would one want to view the Wall of Insight? The reason is that to walk the path of magic innovation is to walk the thin line of insanity and genius without any moral boundaries. The wall gave insight to the thoughts of possibly the most legendary mad genius magus in history.

Miranda had told Cyrus that the Devouring magics that she was pioneering was inspired by her visit to the Wall of Insight, when she won the acolyte championship many years ago.

Dalmier, who had entered the realm before had received all kinds of minor treasures. In fact, last year when he was second, he received the inspiration for the human cauldron.

He had hoped to get another chance to gain inspiration since his plans for the human cauldron were ruined by Cyrus.

However, in this year an unprecedented event happened, all the 4 semi-finalists were first year acolytes.

The four were led away to the heavily guarded area where the Wall of Insight was and Cyrus glanced back to give Theresa a smile and vanished with the rest.

Theresa smiled and turned around to leave and head back to the potion factory.

Unnoticed by everyone, Dalmier followed her in the shadows.

Chapter 12 - Days of Happiness

Cyrus became a secret major force in the academy. He was given his own small wing in the academy, not far from Miranda’s area, for his production.

Now that he had cured Miranda of her hunger and given her the breakthrough in her devouring studies, she no longer needed so many slaves and thus she gave them to Cyrus.

In his wing, there were two rows, ten females and ten males, lined up on either side of a wall. There was a long table in between the walls as more female slaves helped feed and extract potions and pills from either side.

From the female side, multiple different pills were extracted together with potions from their breasts.

From the male side, potions were endlessly flowing from the slaves’ penises as the female slaves kept endlessly changing beakers.

Theresa worked with Cyrus, cataloguing the inventory of potions and pills and recording the profits made from the sales of the medicine.

Within a month, even with a 50-50 split with the potion department, Cyrus was rich with magic crystals.

By now he had made several hundred thousand magic crystals and had purchased a top of the range spatial ring to house his wealth. He bought one for Theresa and Miranda as well, and gave them a hundred thousand magic crystals each as a gift.

With his living cauldrons, no potion or pill was too difficult as long as the ingredients were available.

However, his success was kept secret, with not many people knowing about it. Only the teachers knew and of the acolytes, only Theresa and Dalmier knew about it.

Dalmier was furious. His ambition to rule the potioning department by loaning out his human cauldron was ruined. His dream to conquer Theresa was also stolen by Cyrus.

He vowed revenge, and as still one of the brightest acolytes and most likely to become a mage, he decided to bide his time.

In the meantime, Cyrus hadn't progressed beyond level 3 acolyte. With his riches, he bought rare and expensive level 5 magic beast cores that was suppose to quickly help him level up.

However, it would seem that he had a difficulty leveling up. So he decided on another approach.

Instead, he fed the cores to Theresa, he used her body as a refinery and fucked her. Instead of her body producing pills and potions, he used his devouring ability to absorb the energy from her, slowly leveling up himself.

However, he could only increase his cultivation from level 3 to the peak of level 3, while Theresa herself benefited the most and leveled up from level 6 to level 9, making her the same level as Dalmier.

With this increase, she was able to learn more spells and was merely a step away from becoming a full fledged mage.

He continued to research on how to advance, but he suspected that to progress, he would need to kill or fuck higher level mages. Theresa being a mere acolyte was not high leveled enough.

Cyrus had taken up botany as a hobby. From the major trading, he acquired not only rare and exotic herbs and ingredients, he had acquired several plants that interested him as well.

Most of them were extremely dangerous and extremely rare.

One of the plants that he acquired was the tulip mantrap. This plant was a large flowering plant that resembled a large tulip. However, it’s flowers actually attacked and ate humans. It was actually a level 7 plant that was highly durable and only vulnerable to extreme temperatures.

Another plant was the fire and ice lily which shot fireballs and ice shards from its flowers to deadly effect.

Yet another plant he acquired was the happiness orchid. This orchid releases a hallucinogen from its flowers and its colorful flowers were also hypnotizing. They were known to lure creatures to its base and leave them in a trance until they die and become fertilizer.

Cyrus experimented with all these plants and together with the ironwood vines, he created his own secret hybrid that had all the properties of all these plants.

Using Theresa’s body, he refined all the different essences of the plants and extracted one special seed from her vagina.

However, it was not as easy as planting in the ground to grow this seed. It needed a special lifeforce to grow, lifeforce that came from mystic beings such as unicorns or mermaids that are semi immortal.

Seeing this, he decided to keep the seed for now.

Theresa brought Cyrus out to explore around the outside of the academy. As a fifth year student, she was familiar with the area and they enjoyed their outings in the open air.

Unlike some of the strange acolytes who very much suited the darkness magics they were learning, Theresa behaved very much like a white magic magician. She was friendly, cheerful and seemed a genuine person.

“Why did you join the Abominable Abyss? You don’t really seem like you fit here” asked Cyrus

“I came from a poor family. I was not a noble or anything. But my parents still brought me to the academy testing grounds to see if I had talent, and I did. Talent of 6, that’s what my test stated.” She explained.

“However, when the time came to select an academy, all the rest were eagerly recruiting the sons and daughters of noblemen and they didn’t bother with a girl in poor clothes. So I finally came to the Abominable Abyss, and they were surprised that I was willing to join them. So I figured, a misfit to a misfit school right?” she continued.

Cyrus looked at her with a strange look.

“Didn’t you hear about the reputation of the Abominable Abyss?” he asked further.

“Of course I did. But I was treated like a noble and they let me sit in the carriage on the bone dragon. Just like that, they treated me better than everyone else did. And when I arrived, Professor Durnham was nice….. until I found out about the human cauldron thing….” She said as her mood changed.

“Well, I found you right?” she said as she smiled again.

He smiled back and kissed her. Hand in hand, they walked to the town and went to look at shops.

Cyrus wasn’t really looking to buy anything, but he managed to find an old tattered book sold by a beggar. He actually felt the knowledge from afar using his devour ability. But although he had absorbed everything from it from afar, he found that he needed to own the book so he purchased it.

“What is it you’ve found?” Theresa asked.

“Its some sort of magic book. Seems to be about the power of femininity. And its made of human skin. More accurately, the skin of the inner vagina” he said as he let her touch it.

“Smooth” she said. He nodded and kept it. They had a nice lunch in the restaurant there and headed back.
